We rang in the new year in Lake Tahoe. As we arrived a snowstorm came in with brute force. Through the day and overnight we saw more than 3 feet of snow pile up. We awoke to find our cars buried and the realization that we were snowed in. This didn't stop the kids (or even the adults for that matter) from building a sledding hill in the back that rivaled all sledding hills. This was just the beginning of what would be a GREAT vacation!
Texans certainly know how to eat, and eat well is what we did while in Dallas. We had Chicken Fried Steak as big as a frisbee and enough fajitas to serve an army. Down home southern cooking at it's finest!
Happy Independence Day! We celebrated with family in Dakota City, Nebraska. The boys had a great time lighting off fireworks (the kind you cannot set off in California).
we enjoyed an evening in San Francisco at AT&T park and watched the Giants play Baseball. After 11 innings, the Giants came out on top 2-1 against the Texas Rangers. It was a beautiful evening.
We just returned home from a little get-a-way for Memorial Day weekend. I have pictures loading and will post soon. I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing weekend.
Before we all headed our separate ways after Grandpa's 80th Birthday, we snapped a quick family photo. Who really knows when we will have all of us together in one place again? It could be a while. 4-19-09
