day 171
day 170
Tanner had a football scrimmage against Grant High School. They were the state champions last year and have some BIG boys that play for them. Our Wildcats held their own and looked really pretty good. Tanner did not dress for this game. We had his hand xrayed again after the game and it was determined that it was not broken. He will dress out for practice on Monday and get ready for next weeks home opener against Fernley Nevada.
Days 165-169
Okay so I officially took last week off. I will have to fill in with random photos from the year. I was in a off-mood all week. I could never seem to get into a rhythym. I feel more in control this week and feel that we are settling into our school routines. I am looking forward to shorter days and cooler weather. Here's to hoping we can get back on track.
any ideas on how to photograph busy?
It has been difficult to take photos the last few weeks. I am not sure how to photograph what busy looks like. Nothing out of the ordinary, school started and with that comes a lot of changes to schedules, homework and fall sports. I feel like I am just trying to keep my head above water (and not forget about any of the kids which is what I just about did today). Normal life is good, just not much to document. I will try harder!

Uh-Oh! Another Football injury. The Maroon & Gold scrimmage at Whitney High School was tonight. Tanner hurt his hand and we spent the evening at Urgent Care. The x-rays show a "line" which could be a fracture but it is along the growth plate. They want to redo the xrays in about a week once the swelling has gone down. Tanner cannot use his hand at all and is hoping for a speedy recovery and to be back out on the field soon.

today was laundry day. we were buried in it. i found clothes from trek, scout camp, our utah trip, football practices, soccer practices and an obscene amount of towels. it appeared as if nothing had been done for 2 1/2 weeks. oh wait, it hadn't!
we did take some time out for fun and saw ICE AGE, Dawn of the Dinosaurs in 3D. it was a cute movie, definitely one that zach will want to buy. he thought it was hilarious.
day 152
i told the kids on the way home from Utah that this week was all work, no play. we meant business. we cleaned out the garage and organized things, hoping to make things a bit easier for our fall sports lineup. the lineup includes but is not limited to: high school football, 2 soccer teams (one competitive), 2 flag football teams, fall baseball, and some theatre and upstage (dance). beleive it or not this is my favorite time of year. the picture was taken in the dark, because it was dark by the time we finished. i keep going out there just to enjoy how it looks :)!

i am slowly getting through my pictures and am trying to gather some from various places and cameras. some of the days are blank but pictures will soon fill the spaces.

you know you have been gone too long...
when you wake up your child on the couch and he wearily asks you "where are we sleeping tonight?"
"mom, you haven't updated the blog in forever..."
we made it home after a long drive through the Nevada desert. we had a great time in Utah and did way too many fun things. is it really possible to have too much fun? if so, then we did!
i will show you photos of our "too much fun" soon.
